Android File Manager HD is a feature-rich alternative to Android’s integrated file manager.

While there are many Android file manager alternatives on the market, Android File Manager HD remains among the most popular because of how simple and intuitive it is to use. That doesn’t mean it isn’t feature-rich. It is, but it also mimics the default file manager so that you can begin using it immediately and adjust to the new features over time rather than right away.

Android File Manager HD provides all of the features you might expect, delete, copy, move and so forth. You can transfer files between Android devices and even to or from a PC over Wi-Fi. Transfer to and from desktop computers, laptops, Windows tablets and more. The app also lets you work directly with archives. Compress archives. Decompress them, and pull files directly from them.

The app’s network features are quite sophisticated, and it fully supports network storage. In addition, all of the features supported for networks are supported for clouds, included preconfigured support for Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox. The manger supports a broad range of protocols. A home screen widget provides easy access to all of these features, including the ability to stream movies, music and images from the cloud without actually downloading them to the device.

Android File Manager HD is stable until it isn’t. On multiple occasions since the initial release, updates have introduced bugs and other instabilities. These issues are generally patched quickly, and on the upside, they’re a result of how the developers continue to actively improve this app.
